Meal Prep Without the Burnout

Meal Prep Without the Burnout

The classic image of meal prep, a fridge wall of identical containers, is exactly why so many people give it up. The trick is to prep components, not finished meals, so you can mix and match through the week and keep things interesting.

Cook a couple of proteins, a grain, and a big tray of roasted vegetables, then make two sauces that change everything. The same roasted chicken becomes a grain bowl one day and a wrap the next, simply by switching the dressing and the format.

Leave room for spontaneity. Prep enough to remove weeknight friction but not so much that every meal is decided by Sunday. A little structure with a little freedom is the combination that actually lasts beyond the first ambitious week.
